Today, our Chapter participated in a male initiative program at Northside High School entitled “Dare to be Great” in Shelby, MS. Brothers Edward Hill and Willie Gant spoke on “From Men to Boys: Under Peer Pressure” and did a teambuilding activity with the students as well as gave away bags filled with face masks, toiletries, social distancing buttons, and health pamphlets. The program was well attended with over one hundred young men, ranging from freshmen to seniors. Mr. Kierre Rimmer of FLY Zone and members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. gave the young men encouraging words of wisdom on various topics (see below program) to help them on their paths from boyhood to manhood.
